New York, NY, July 26, 2022 - The Alexander Team and Everyrealm, the metaverse real estate development firm, announced today the launch of ‘The Row,’ a private, members-only metaverse real estate community featuring architecture designed by artists. The Row is being co-developed by The Alexander Team and Everyrealm and will be launched on the metaverse world-building platform Mona.

“The metaverse has no physics, no weather, and no limitations other than human ingenuity,” said Janine Yorio, CEO, Everyrealm. “The Row brings together visionary artists best known for their architectural landscapes and collectors seeking a unique, limited edition residence that they can deploy across many different metaverses over time.”

The Row will be a limited-edition series of 30 3D architectural landmarks, each sold as a 1-of-1 non-fungible token (or “NFT”) designed by celebrated artists including Daniel Arsham, who also serves as Everyrealm’s Creative Ambassador, Misha Kahn, Andrés Reisinger, Alexis Christodoulou, Six N. Five, and Hard.

The artists will develop and build each of the Row’s landmarks with the ability to be deployed across a variety of metaverse platforms within The Row district. Metaverse world-building platform Mona will host The Row’s first builds. Membership to The Row is by invitation only and will become available once The Row has completed development later this year. Interested parties can now request an invitation on The Row’s dedicated website.

“In the metaverse, one does not need to adhere to the many constraints that exist when creating spaces, exhibitions, and art works in the physical world,” said Daniel Arsham. “When designing for The Row, I considered how my sculptures would appear from inside this unique piece of architecture. I explored the possibility of seasonality; how I might be able to alter the seasons, and how the design could remain in existence in both a daytime or a nighttime environment forever. I’m excited and eager to see how people might engage with these pieces of architecture once they're deployed in the metaverse.”

The Alexander Team and Everyrealm first announced their plan to co-develop an architecturally-significant master-planned community in December 2021.

“Our clientele collects trophy real estate in the real world, and now we are enabling that same level of curation in the metaverse,” said Oren Alexander of The Alexander Team “The Row will be the most high profile real estate development across many metaverses, a series of iconic landmarks accessible on a global scale.”

The Alexander Team, led by brothers Oren and Tal Alexander, is the highest grossing residential real estate brokerage team in both New York City and Miami. The firm has represented celebrity clients such as Ken Griffin, the Weeknd, and Kanye West and is responsible for some of the highest-priced transactions including the largest residential sale in the U.S.

Everyrealm is a metaverse real estate investment and development firm backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase, Dapper Labs, The Weeknd, Marc Anthony and Paris Hilton, among others.  Everyrealm is known for having developed Fantasy Islands, the first-ever master-planned community in the metaverse, a series of private islands that have sold for as much as $398,000.00 on the secondary market. Everyrealm is led by Janine Yorio, a real estate industry veteran who previously worked with Andre Balazs at Standard Hotels, the developer of Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles and Chiltern Firehouse in London. Mona is a high-fidelity and high-performance metaverse world-building platform, founded to give creators, architects, 3D designers and AR/VR artists infrastructure to bring their visionary worlds to life. Led by CEO and co-founder Justin Melillo, Mona raised nearly $15 million in its oversubscribed Series A round earlier this year.

Everyrealm developed the project much the same way that traditional real estate developers do when they build an upscale development, first by assembling the digital land parcels, then overseeing the architectural design and construction process, which in this case is all digital, more like developing a video game than erecting bricks-and-mortar buildings.

The Alexander Team will lead the sales effort for this ultra-luxury master-planned community, to provide their clientele with exclusive access to the metaverse. Mona will serve as the main gallery to feature the artists' works.

About Daniel Arsham & His Contribution to The Row:

Daniel Arsham’s uchronic aesthetics revolves around his concept of fictional archaeology. Working in sculpture, painting architecture, drawing and film, he creates and crystallizes ambiguous in- between spaces or situations, and further stages what he refers to as future relics of the present. Arsham’s iconic works meld the past, present and future, showcasing the malleability and power of nostalgia, often through references to moments of the late 20th century.

From when he first entered the digital space with the series of 10 NFT’s two years ago, architecture has played a prominent part of Daniel Arsham’s digital creations. The Aries House, created by Daniel Arsham is an incredible structure, looking like something that might have existed in the ancient world. The sculpture of Aries is on such a monumental scale that it could be inhabited. The materiality of the exterior of the work informs the color palette of the interior, so Arsham created five different variations of the Aries House, all of them with a unique crystal property: amethyst, quartz, pyrite, and volcanic ash. The materials intended to make you think about age and time.

You enter through the base of the pedestal into a large foyer and as you walk up the giant staircase, there are other sculptures that have the unique possibility to be presented.

Asrham explains further: “As the metaverse develops, I can imagine these pieces of architecture being constructed as incredible places to inhabit. In the initial versions, I've placed my own artwork in the space, but one could imagine a collector placing artworks from other digitally native artists or works from artists who create primarily in the physical world. I’ve created very accurate visualizations of how this work might exist, how you might move through it, how light passes through it, and what it might feel like at different times of day. It’s really a magical way to create architecture in the metaverse.”

About Alexis Christodoulou & His Contribution to The Row:

As a front runner and pioneer of the imaginary architecture aesthetic seen all over the world, Alexis Christodoulou Studio has forged relationships with brands such as Microsoft, Facebook, Instagram, La Mer, Kenzo, Luxottica and Sunglasses Hut, Nowness, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, Kenzo, and many more.

Christodoulou’s The Mirage is the metaverse's first personal levitation center - designed for one’s enjoyment and spiritual transition into a digital existence. Built around the simple contradiction of gravity through various points of the day - each edition of the Mirage exhibits a unique tone to mimic the position of the sun as it floats above. Christodoulou implores everyone to start their virtual existence in the Mirage - without all the weight of the physical world.

About Misha Kahn & His Contribution to The Row:

Misha Kahn allows the illogical and the irreverent to take over his entire process. He employs everything from lo-fi and ad hoc techniques—such as improvisational molds and collage—to virtual reality and other high-tech tools.

Kahn’s quagmire series, first realized as ceramic objects, is inspired by how we define space in the digital world. It has to do with using grids to create depth in an environment that’s tricky to understand. The aesthetic of this digital house—Quagmire’s Karst—is an implementation of that visual language which maps a logic onto illogical forms.

About Andrés Reisinger & His Contribution to The Row:

Originally from Argentina, Andrés Reisinger creates instantly-recognizable dream-like imagery in his studio in Barcelona that have drawn interest from a plethora of multi-million-dollar collectors, brands and international art galleries alike.

Reisinger presents a visual manifesto on the digital form of architecture. Traditional

architecture is recognized as permanent, allowing a long-term habitat. This permanence is challenged as conventional housing becomes obsolete in the metaverse. Free from most spatial concerns, Reisinger’s virtual house strives to prevent meaninglessness, boredom, existential dread and emptiness. He creates the most stimulating conditions possible: the spatiality, the atmosphere and the architecture of the project, give rise to the density of time of immersion and elevate the experience of dwelling.

About Six N. Five & Their Contribution to The Row:

Six N. Five is a contemporary art studio, founded by Ezequiel Pini, an award-winning

Argentinian designer and digital artist. Creating digital and real worlds and experiences with a clean and modern aesthetic, they produce experimental work with a goal of legitimizing CGI as a new medium of artistic expression.

Six N. Five’s Make room for us is an architectural project in the digital universe, which not only proposes to adapt architecture to nature, but  speaks of our repentance and forgiveness for the damage we have caused in the physical world. Now it is our turn to adapt to what has always existed.Through adaptive designs that mimic cellular organisms, they propose an architectural system that interacts with nature in an imaginary ecosystem of cliffs, mountains, and virtual dreamscapes. This exploration is nothing more than a narrative translated into visual concepts that aim to learn and respond to our environment, to make ourselves our home.

About Hard & Their Contribution to The Row:

Hard creates imaginative avant-garde spaces that exhibit architectural concepts reinterpreting the digital landscape. As an emerging voice in the Web3.0 creator community, Hard.Architects is considered a pioneer in the metaverse and has worked with platforms such as Filecoin, Harmony, Monaverse, and more.

Hard’s contribution was fueled by the introspective journey that explores the lust for opulence that resides in self-worth and the need for belonging. The visual is a criticism of the desire for the epicurean lifestyle. The Pearl in its purest form evokes the standards for the metaverse through its simplicity and elegance.
